The label for O.T.’s “Prevailing Winds” ended up being a bit of a departure from the other labels I developed for the Calgary based brewery as most of my workflow was completed in Photoshop rather than Illustrator. The switch to raster graphics opened up a lot of avenues for exploring and editing the texture of the map background and working directly on a drawing tablet allowed me to capture that hand drawn look with the barley motif. I kept the painted orange fill for the background rough for the same reason, as I wanted it to have an old mural sort of feel.
