Cthonic is a pulp graphic ode to Lovecraftian horror, 80’s synth and 16-bit era final bosses. I opted to compose the final illustration in Photoshop, utilizing 100% opaque brushes and careful hand line drawing, allowing for the odd mistake and building off happy accidents during the sketching phase to get that authentic screen painted feel.
